PDF Template Editor
Customize how forms appear when exported as PDF documents. Design professional layouts with your branding and the exact information you need.
Accessing the Editor
Each form type has its own PDF template. To edit:
- 1Go to Form Types
- 2Click on the form type to edit
- 3Select the PDF Template tab
The Design Canvas
The PDF editor uses a drag-and-drop canvas where you can:
- Add and position elements anywhere on the page
- Resize elements by dragging corners
- Set up multi-page templates
- Preview the result in real-time
Available Elements
Text Block
Static or dynamic text
- Static labels and titles
- Variables for form data (e.g., {form_number})
- Font styling options
Image
Logos and static images
- Company logo placement
- Background images
- Decorative elements
Field Block
Display form answers
- Renders question answers
- Label + value layout
- Supports all question types
Table
Tabular data display
- Multiple columns and rows
- Headers and data rows
- Dynamic content from form
QR Code
Link to digital form
- Auto-generated form URL
- Scannable for verification
- Customizable size
Template Variables
Use variables to insert dynamic content:
{form_number}- Form number (e.g., "HWP-001"){form_status}- Current status{created_at}- Creation date{initiator_name}- Who created the form{project_name}- Project name{export_date}- When PDF was generated
Page Settings
- Page Size: A4, Letter, Legal, or custom
- Orientation: Portrait or Landscape
- Margins: Top, bottom, left, right spacing
- Header/Footer: Repeated on every page
Preview Often
Use the Preview button frequently to see how your template looks with actual form data. What looks good in the editor may need adjustment in the PDF.
