Permit Status Guide
Understanding permit statuses helps you know where a permit is in its workflow.
Common Statuses
| Status | Meaning | What to Do |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Permit is being created/edited | Complete fields and submit |
| Pending | Awaiting approval | Wait for reviewer decision |
| Approved | Permit has been approved | Work can proceed |
| Rejected | Permit was rejected | Review comments and resubmit |
| Cancelled | Permit was cancelled | No action needed |
| Closed | Work is complete | No action needed |
Status Colors
Each status has a color to help you quickly identify it:
- Gray: Draft, Cancelled
- Yellow/Orange: Pending, needs attention
- Green: Approved, Complete
- Red: Rejected, Expired
Custom Statuses
Your project may have custom statuses specific to your workflow. Check with your project admin for definitions.
Viewing Permit History
To see how a permit reached its current status:
- Open the permit
- Click the "Info" button
- View the complete action history with timestamps
